On Our Group Tours you will find one of the strictest Old Order Amish Colonies remaining in the world today! These "Plain People" use no electricity and use only horses for their transportation and work. They lead their daily lives by their strict interpretation of the Bible scriptures.
No trip to the Jamesport Amish Colony is complete without our guided tour. All of the Amish and their stores are tucked away in the Amish Countryside surrounding Jamesport and your tour guide will lead you to all of the country stores and historic sites while providing little known facts about the Amish along the way as we are greeted by Amish families driving their horse & buggies.
Take a "Step Back In Time" as we explore an Amish home, stables, and farm where members of the Amish family will answer your questions and demonstrate their lighting, heating, cooling, tools, and the workings of an Amish farm without the use of electricity. Only horses are used by the Amish for transportation and work. As we tour the Amish farmland we will also make stops at the Amish Country Stores where you may purchase Amish crafted goods such as Amish oak furniture, Amish sewn quilts, rugs, baskets, clocks, spices, lye soap, fresh bakery goods and so much more!
Thousands of people visit the Jamesport Amish Colony and go on our tour each year to see what these" Plain People " must be missing out on in today's modern world armed with only an 8th grade education. After our Tour Guide provides them with an in-depth, inside view of the Amish way of life and after a deeper look into "their world" most people leave with the realization that just maybe"WE" are the ones who are truly missing out!!

We will join group tours of all sizes, from charter buses, bank travel clubs, churches, schools & clubs, to families. This is a one-of-a-kind, fun-filled, educational & perfect tour for ALL AGES. Our tour is 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. long. Tours are given Monday - Saturday 9 A.M. - 2 P.M. by APPOINTMENT ONLY!
